How to Make Cream Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate has got to be right up there with the best food ever made. I am definitely a chocoholic. So it doesn't take much guessing to figure out that I love chocolate chip cookies. Yep those are my favorites just like most other people. When I decide to make cookies, more often than not I end up making just that. But, I love cream cheese too. It seems like any recipe with cream cheese in it is just a little more tasty than ones without. I had no idea that there would be a chocolate chip cookie recipe that had cream cheese in it until I stumbled across this one. It definitely combines two of my great loves!
Here is a list of the ingredients you will need to make your cream cheese chocolate chip cookies:








1 cup of butter or margarine ( should be room temperature)
1 cup of white sugar
1 three ounce package of cream cheese (also needs to be room temperature)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla
½ teaspoon of lemon extract
2 ½ cups of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon of baking soda
1 cup finely chopped nuts
2 cups milk chocolate chocolate chips
 
 
The first thing you should do is preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Then measure out and get ready all of your ingredients.
Then in a large mixing bowl, cream together your room temperature margarine or butter and your sugar until the mixture is fluffy. A hand mixer works great, but you can also do this by hand. Once it is fluffy, add your room temperature cream cheese and mix well.
Then add your eggs, vanilla, and lemon extract and blend. Then, in a separate bowl, sift together your flour, baking powder and baking soda. When sifted slowly (half cup by half cup) add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix well.
Finally stir in by hand your chocolate chips and your nuts into the batter. When they are mixed, drop the batter by teaspoonful onto baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees for twelve minutes or until done.
Serve with milk for a delicious treat!
